Abstract
Would you love to have your teens involved in a National 4-H Leadership Team? Would your teens love to see all the ways geospatial knowledge is used in our world or get exposure to our LGU’s, colleges, careers, and industry partners in the field? The National GIS/GPS Leadership Team is youth/adult partnerships, from across the US, who utilize geospatial tools to empower youth to visualize data and spark action in their communities.
“Where’s the Food” is a civic engagement project where 4-H action teams help tackle food insecurities in their own communities. The project brings awareness of where communities can find food during the pandemic emergency and beyond. Our industry partner, Esri, provides global application of mapping technologies, free to our youth teams. The youth use geographic information system technologies to visualize, bring awareness and spark action in their communities.
